So today I decided to take my kids to the mall. Okay, I know that sentence alone makes me sound like a madwoman. But this is why I had such a hair brained idea (everyone who has two or more kids knows its a hair brained idea to take four kids to the mall, especially when three of them are boys) it's because Grandma Julie, my Mother, gave Caleb $30.00 to spend on new clothes. So when he got home from her house he said"Mom , could you take me to Wal-Mart to get some new clothes?" When he said that I wondered if he is so deprived he hardly even knows that there are other places to buy clothes.
We dont have super easy access to the mall so we don't shop there that often, and if all truth be told we really only shop at Wal-mart or Target for the kids. So, I offered to take him to the mall. But because I took all of the kids with us I promised treats if they could behave themselves I had horrible thoughts of them hiding in the clothes racks which is a huge pet peeve of mine or knocking over tables, pulling clothes off hangers you know kid stuff, and to tell the truth stores like Hollister and American Eagle intimidate me a little so I was worried about the kids getting out of hand.I decided I would give them a huge lecture Before we left our house, and then it turned out it continued in the car and all the way through the mall. when we got to Hollister Caleb and I started to browse and soon we were carried away in the whole finding some cute shirts, what size is he, does he need pants , all that sort of stuff and about ten minutes in I noticed silence. Yep no kids, just Caleb and I. So I start looking around and looking under (GULP!) all the tables, and no kids anywhere Well I start to panic and I am thinking they are so not getting a treat!! Panic starts to set in when suddenly I notice the mannequins standing behind the shirts we are looking at look a little short. Sure enough my kids were standing unblinking motionless in model poses, with the other mannequins. It was so funny I burst out laughing and of course they remained motionless for the whole time we were in the store being Mannequins, even Chloe. It was adorable. I wished so badly that I had my camera.

OH I SO WISH YOU HAD A CAMERA, I WOULD OF LIKED TO SEE THE FACES OF THE PEOPLE PASSING TOO! LOL
That's hilarious. Do you think that would work at scouts to make them all sit still?
HAHAHA! That is hilarious Steff! Oh my gosh I wish I would have been there to see that. Your kids crack me up!
I love it! Could they please teach my kids how to behave while shopping??!?!?
So did they get a treat??
Yeah, they got a cookie from Mrs. Feilds.
Sounds like that was a great trip to the mall... so I am sure you can take them again.
Don't you love to proven wrong with an incident like that? I think I would have let them have 2 cookies: 1 for good behavior and 1 for creativity.
Okay i am commenting just to say i did. The fact is i talk to you three times a day at least, and know everything that happens in your life. Unfortunatly im usually the little voice in your head that says "DO IT"!!! The dog is cute though:)
